Description:
The Balaram Palace Resort located in Village Chitrasani lies off the Ahmedabad-Mt Abu National highway-14, running across the District of Banaskantha in Gujarat. Balaram Palace had been functional as the weekend retreat and hunting resort of the Lohanis. They were the rulers from Jalore in South western Rajasthan who moved on to Palanpur after Jalore was annexed. The Balaram Palace Resort was established between 1920s and 30 s during the rule of H. H. Nawab Saheb Sir Taley Muhamad Khan Lohani. The palace is now operational under the vigilance of a private entrepreneur.
